Marcus Thuram was only able to play one half in Inter-Atletico Madrid, the first leg of the Champions League round of 16. A muscular problem, in fact, prevented him from finishing the match
Marcus Thuram gave San Siro a scare when, close to half-time, he collapsed to the ground and touched his thigh. A muscle problem which, as the fans feared, prevented the French striker – perhaps the best on the pitch up to that point – from continuing the match against Atletico Madrid. Simone Inzaghi, in fact, replaced him with Arnautovic, the protagonist of two serious errors in front of goal in the second half.
For Thuram, 12 goals and 11 assists in the season, it is a right adductor contracture to be evaluated in the next few days.
