The Formula 1 season will start again soon. After a winter break of several months, the drivers will get back into their racing cars on Wednesday. Not yet to race, but to see how the teams are doing. In this article we look ahead to the weather during the start of Formula 1.

Like previous years, the Formula 1 season will kick off in Bahrain. Over a period of three days from Wednesday, we will see how the teams emerge from the winter break. Due to the stable weather conditions in the region, the weather conditions are not very exciting.

Bahrain has a desert climate and in the summer months temperatures of 40 degrees are certainly no exception. This is also one of the reasons that this race does not take place in the middle of the season, during the summer months. At the end of February the temperature regularly rises to summer values. During the test days the maximums also come close to these summer values, but this will probably not be achieved. From Wednesday to Friday the temperature rises to 22 or 23 degrees every day.

It is often sunny with at most a few veil clouds passing over the circuit. A breeze from the sea can provide some cooling. The sun’s strength is already very strong here with UV index 8. Unprotected, your skin can burn within 10 minutes.

First race probably also warm and sunny

The first race of the season is scheduled for next Sunday, March 2. It is still quite far away, but due to the stable weather in this region, there is a good chance that the drivers can count on a sunny race. It is possible that the temperature will reach summer values of 25 degrees or more.
