The First Look: Mock Draft 2025 Revealed by ESPN Expert Jonathan Givony

The first Mock Draft 2025ESPN has just been revealed by specialist Jonathan Givony. The Cooper Flagg phenomenon is unsurprisingly at the top of the vintage while that three French people are part of the 60 cities, just like a certain Bronny James.

While the French wonder who Alexandre Sarr or Zaccharie Risacher (we don’t forget Tidjane Salaün) will be announced with the first choice of the 2024 Draft, Jonathan Givony ofESPN already sees further. The specialist shared his first Mock Draft 2025 16 months before the event. Here are some things to keep an eye out for.

The 2025 NBA draft is 16 months away, but teams have already begun building out files to identify and monitor next year’s top prospects.

If you don’t know the name Cooper Flagg yet, that will soon change. Expected by many to be a generational prospect, he has been considered the favorite to be number 1 in the 2025 NBA Draft for quite some time. He is a 3/4 post of around 2m06, originally from Maine, who is quite simply capable of doing everything on a basketball court: skillful from a distance, annoying in defense and comfortable with the ball in hand, the future Duke player is the man to watch of the crop.

If you’re not watching Duke for him next season, watch Duke for others. The legendary university will be one to watch since no less than five Blue Devils are present in Jonathan Givony’s 60 (Cooper Flagg in 1, Isaiah Evans in 13, Tyrese Proctor in 30, Caleb Foster in 41 and Mark Mitchell in 56).

And if France is extremely spoiled during the 2023 and 2024 Drafts, the quality of the French team is still felt in this 2025 projection. Three talents from our regions are cited by the expertESPN. Nolan Traoreleader of the game from the France pole, leads the charge in 14. Noah Essengue continues – after Killian Hayes and Pacôme Dadiet – the new tradition of young French talents in Ulm (Germany) and is announced in 23rd place. Finally Zacharie Perrininside Antibes already eligible in 2024, is projected in 49th position.

But the biggest name in this Mock Draft is in 39th position… with Bronny James. LeBron’s son is expected in the NBA in 2025 according to Jonathan Givony, but like Zacharie Perrin, he could choose to enter the Draft this year. File to follow.

Finally, the last element attracting our attention: the return to the highest level of the Real Madrid training center. Hugo Gonzalez, Spanish winger for the White House, is expected in fifth position while his teammate Egor Demin, Russian leader, joins him in the Top 10 in ninth place.

This Mock Draft by Jonathan Givony is a first draft and it should be taken as such. Nothing is set in stone more than a year before the event, trends can still emerge and then reverse, and the order in which the 60 players will be called by Adam Silver (and Mark Tatum) in June 2025 does not will probably look nothing like this one (except for Cooper Flagg). But at least you can now familiarize yourself with names that will be heard more and more as the months go by.
