Part of the Federal Commitment Plan, this new commission will be chaired by Pascal Parent.

Former minister Jean-Louis Borloo is joining the newly created commitment commission of the French Football Federation, the body announced on Thursday. Borloo, minister without interruption from May 2002 to November 2010, notably of ecology or economy and finance, is one of the civil society personalities of this new commission. The commitment fee is “responsible for ensuring the implementation of the policies conducted by the FFF, measuring their impact, making the necessary changes and presenting its conclusions, each year , at the federal assembly »explains the instance in a communiqué.

It is part of the commitment plan of the «3F» announced last October in which the largest sports federation in France in terms of licensees, intends “fight against all violence and discrimination, strengthen the educational and inclusive dimension of football, and create the conditions for sustainable development of football. In this context, the FFF launched an alert platform for victims of violence in November. Retired from political life since 2014 for health reasons, Jean-Louis Borloo is not completely foreign to the world of football, since he was president of Valenciennes from 1986 to 1991, city of which he was mayor from 1989 to 2002.
