The Chiefs’ Quartet: A Super Bowl Steal and a Future Dynasty?

It’s been two years since Mahomes stole the Super Bowl from the best team in the NFL.

The Chiefs’ formula is pretty simple. You can take out Tyreek Hill, Frank Clark, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, whatever.

Provided Pat Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Andy Reid and Steve Spagnuolo are there, and the Chiefs have a chance.

The 49ers were probably, if not the best, one of the best teams on paper in NFL history.

The Chiefs, like Patriots 2.0, stayed in the game thanks to an efficient and opportunistic attack, an admirable defense both against the ground and against the pass, and they capitalized on small errors, notably on special teams to win the match.

Two consecutive Super Bowls in which the most talented teams come up against this quartet and come out empty-handed.

That doesn’t take anything away from Kyle Shanahan, he’s 44 years old, he’s in his third appearance in the Super Bowl, the 3 times he led the game by at least 10 points, he will end up winning his Super Bowls.

Just like Andy Reid who didn’t win anything before Patrick Mahomes, will Kyle end up winning and beating Mahomes without a top quarterback? Win somewhere other than San Francisco?

Mahomes is on an incredible run. He is without a doubt the best quarterback we have ever seen.

But will he be able to dethrone the king and GOAT Tom Brady?

Only the future will tell us.

Let’s see how long this extraordinary quartet continues playing together.

We must not forget that football remains a team sport!

In any case…

One thing is sure…

If I had $2 to put on the winners of the next Super Bowl…

I’m putting it on the Chiefs!
