The 23rd Rauschenberg Tournament: Petersberg Judo Club Welcomes 650 Judoka from Across Germany

Petersberg (pm/cb) – The 23rd Rauschenberg tournament of the Petersberg Judo Club will take place next weekend in the Petersberg district sports hall. The organizational team around Fridolin Heger and Kay Heger are expecting a total of 650 judoka from over 60 clubs from all over Germany. In addition to many registrations from Hesse, this year there are also an increasing number of clubs from the neighboring federal states, Bavaria, Rhineland-Palatinate, Thuringia and Baden-Württemberg.

“The response to our tournament continues to be huge and exceeds our expectations. The number of registrations increased again by over 100 participants compared to last year, so we have reached the limit of our capacity,” says Kay Heger, who manages the competition with his father at the weekend.

In addition to the host JC Petersberg with around 30 judoka, the 1st Fuldaer JC with around ten athletes, Kodokan Neuhof with ten judoka and the SKV Gruben with seven athletes are taking part from the East Hesse region. On Saturday the U13 and U16 age groups will compete, and on Sunday the little ones will start in the U11 age group. The competition starts at 10:15 a.m.
