Sterling Breaks Former, Chelsea Beats Man City in Round I

An exciting and interesting match was presented when Manchester City hosted Chelsea in the Premier League. London Blue took a 1-0 lead in the first half via Raheem Sterling’s goal.

The big match is presented in Week 25 of the Premier League between Man City vs Chelsea. The duel took place at the Etihad Stadium, Sunday (18/2/2024) early morning WIB.

Man City got a golden opportunity in the eleventh minute. Erling Haaland’s header in front of the goal went over the bar.

Chelsea almost scored a goal in the 23rd minute through Nicolas Jackson’s attempt. Already facing one on one with Ederson, Jackson’s low kick was secured by the Man City goalkeeper.

Man City created another opportunity in the 34th minute. Jeremy Doku’s low kick was saved by Chelsea goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic.

GOAL! Chelsea broke the deadlock in the 41st minute. Raheem Sterling successfully found the net against his former team.

Starting from Chelsea’s fast attack, the ball was sent to Sterling from Jackson. Sterling had time to control the ball and trick Kyle Walker before kicking the ball into the goal. The Blues lead 1-0.

Man City tried to catch up before halftime. Haaland’s attempt in injury time still missed the target. The first half closed with Chelsea leading 1-0.
