In competition, The Pitiuso club won three medals (two gold and one silver). The two golds (in the -60 kg weight category) were won by judokas Jordi Torres and Abel Darvey. The other medal in this category was the work of judoka José Jiménez in the -55 kg weight category.
In Elite children, Unai Gómez (-55 kg) won two of the three matches in his group and later lost the fourth in the quarterfinals, obtaining a creditable eighth place. Iván Agües Marco suffered the same fate at -60 kg, winning his two group matches and later losing in the quarterfinals. Thus, he took a also creditable fifth place.
