Tomorrow, between the course of the Yser and rue Albert-Nodon, rue Cazemajor will take the title of “garden street”. A new “peaceful public space”, where soft mobility will always have its place, but where, above all, nature will reclaim its rights on the asphalt. The city here wants to deploy “a place of breathing, freshness and meeting”. One of these new cool areas, the realization of which will involve the de-artificialization of 610 m² of previously bituminous soil, storing heat.
Family living space
Currently being disbursed, the artery will present at the end of the project a surface of grassy paving stones on the sidewalks, allowing rainwater to run off. These will also be decorated with plantings of around twenty trees and beds of low vegetation, to capture humidity and restore freshness.
A space where it will be good to get together with family, while the development project provides for the installation of 13 benches, among which we hope the return of the “yellow benches”, inaugurated ©s last summer and supports the dissemination of information on endometriosis, and the installation of two picnic tables. This equipment will be complemented by the installation of 33 bicycle racks, some of which are dedicated to cargo bikes.
