Roxanne Rioux Returns to Play in Kazakhstan after Retiring

Roxanne Rioux made the decision to hang up her skates last March, after a professional career in the world of women’s hockey which allowed her to play in several European countries.

However, his team based in Almaty, Kazakhstan, recently surveyed his interest in making a return to play to complete the current season. The native of Saint-Jean-de-Dieu accepted the proposal for the love of her sport, flying to her adopted country on February 10. After a long flight, the striker played her first match in the final hours, ignoring the time difference to collect no less than four points in a victory for her team.

Remember that Roxanne Rioux has enjoyed enormous success with Aisulu Almaty since 2019, collecting, in all competitions, a grand total of 101 points in 84 matches. She also represented Kazakhstan on the international scene, she who now has dual citizenship, amassing 235 points in 62 matches according to data collected on the reference site Elite Prospect.
