Rising Stars Shine at International Badminton Tournament: A Recap of the Podium Finishers

Closing of this tournament that has put some of the best young rackets on the international scene on the mat.
More than 200 volantistas came to the call of victory at the Arroyo de la Miel Sports Center. Little by little some continued the path to the podium while others stayed along the way. On Sunday all the unknowns were cleared up, first with the semifinals and then with the finals.

The review of the podium begins with the under 15 men’s individual in which the highest positions have gone to the Swiss Santiago Araújo and Louka Cesari. In the women’s event, the victory went to María García, followed by Belén Soto who took silver.
In the men’s doubles, the Swiss Louka Cesari and Santiago Araújo reached the highest step again, leaving the silver for the Belgians Cabus Seppe and Daemers Seppe. In the women’s doubles, the gold would go to Mariona Ying Muñoz together with Nuria Sierra, beating Gitika Venkatasubbaiah and Sandra Pastor in the final. Moving on to the mixed under 15 team, the first finishers were Raúl Hernández and María García, who beat their compatriots Guillermo Muñoz and Nuria Sierra in the final.

In the under 17 men’s individual, the Spanish flag flew high thanks to Yaidel Gil, followed by Raúl Bergua. In the women’s singles, the Belgian player Lea Dauphinais took first prize, with silver for the representative of the Czech Republic Stepanka Nydrlova.
As for the doubles in the under 17 category, the men’s gold went to the couple Gil – Rodriguez, who beat the Aragonese team Bergua – Isabal in the final. In the women’s event, the winners were Bartsch – Fein (Belgium), leaving the silver for the French Lengue Te – Morel.
The mixed doubles put Spain back on top of the podium thanks to Mario Rodriguez and Noelia López Tarín who defeated the French Robin Oudjani and Neela Lengue Te.

High-level duels that show that the youngest players are working hard on their talents. The new generations continue to push and strengthen the future of badminton.
