Rising Star: Indrit Tuci’s Impact on Sparta

That was something!

“A beautiful story. After his arrival, Indrit adapted quickly, worked hard from the beginning and, above all, did not hesitate. I think we let him down a few times when we didn’t put him in the starting line-up. He still came to me and emphasized: Coach, it’s okay, I’ll be ready when you need me. One minute, five!” Brian Priske recounted as the game ended just before midnight on Thursday.

If it weren’t for the prudent move with Tuci, Sparta would probably not surprise the favorite.

He was on the field for less than eight minutes when he found a cross from Zeleny from the left wing in a scrum and in a very difficult position. He had to return with his body for the pass and instinctively set his head – 2:1 for Sparta.

In the next six minutes, Tuci conjured a cross assist to the running Haraslín and in a moment he was already pumping his fists – 3:1. “Famous pass,” thanked Lukáš Haraslín.

Direct to Galatasaray.

Show for Sparta.

Admit it, if the name Tuci meant something to you? Did you know last fall that he was the second best scorer in the Croatian league? For Lokomotiv Zagreb, he scored six times, assisted three times and faced a total of 103 headers, which is usually his domain.

When Sparta called, he didn’t hesitate. Albanian journalist Klaudio Ndreca from Sport Ekspres learned from Tuci during an interview in January: “I would easily go from the Czech Republic to Albania by bike just to be able to play in the European Championship in Germany.”

That sentence exudes an absolute passion for football. That is why Tuci signed up for Sparta for several years.

“I feel very good here, the conditions are very professional. Everyone tells me that if I fight like Qazim Laci, it will be good. Qazim is loved by Sparta fans,” Tuci confessed in his native Albanian.

By the way, he is 100% right about the impulsive sidekick Laci. He got used to Sparta immediately, excited the fans with his authenticity, smart ideas, loyalty and explosiveness. Thanks to this, Indrit Tuci has a slightly easier start to his new job. He sees, understands, works, gets advice from a compatriot. Whether he will actually make it to the Albanian selection for the European Championship is still in the stars, but he made a significant step on Thursday.

“Sparta scouts came to watch some of my matches in Croatia. Then I called Qazim and he told me the best things about Sparta. Locomotive and Sparta? It cannot be compared. Sparta is one of the biggest clubs in Europe. The training sessions here are many times more difficult and have a greater intensity. I believe that national team coach Sylvinho will contact me over time.”

Qazim Laci’s wide smile adorns Sparta’s progressing joy after the victory over Galatasaray.

For now, he has to be satisfied with the Spartan minutes and praise from coach Priske: “He deserved such a match.”

It is not without interest that Tuci has started for the last twenty-five minutes in each of the three cases so far. Against Karviná, against Liberec and against Galatasaray. Will he get more time on Sunday? After Thursday’s concert, Sparta plays the league in Slovácko.
