RINKA selected for “AKATSUKI VENUS” for the first time

The 5th member of the official cheerleaders “AKATSUKI VENUS” will be selected through tryouts to support the Japanese national team “AKATSUKI JAPAN” at the basketball “Asia Cup 2025 Qualifying Window 1” matches against Guam on the 22nd and against China on the 25th (Ariake Coliseum, Tokyo). As a result, RINKA, who is the captain of the Sendai 89ERS Cheers, was selected as one of the 13 members.

“AKATSUKI VENUS” was formed in 2017 as the official cheerleaders with the image of Venus, the planet that continues to shine until the end in the dawn sky, and to lead the Japanese national team to the sunrise. His selection from the Sendai 89ERS was the first time in club history that he achieved this feat. RINKA appeared at the opening and halftime of both games. We plan to continue our activities until the end of October. Sendai SG Ryo Abe (28) was selected to represent Japan for the first time after head coach Tom Horvath (57) took over, and is currently in training camp. Abe said, “I want to show my true self without forgetting my gratitude to the team,” and RINKA and “AKATSUKI VENUS” will support the Japanese national team as they aim for victory.
