Records Broken at NBA All-Star Game as Eastern Conference Prevails

Indianapolis – More points were scored than ever before at the All-Star Game of the North American professional basketball league NBA. The selection from the Eastern Conference in Indianapolis clearly prevailed against the Western Conference with 211:186 (104:89).

Team East became the first in the 73-year history of the NBA All-Star Game to surpass 200 points. Damian Lillard from the Milwaukee Bucks was named the game’s most valuable player and was the winning team’s best scorer with 39 points. Lillard, who had already defended his three-point title at All-Star Weekend on Saturday, hit eleven threes, including two from almost halfway.

In general, the best basketball players in the world were particularly keen on shooting and accurate from a distance. The East team converted 42 three-pointers, also a record. Karl-Anthony Towns of the Minnesota Timberwolves scored 50 points for the West team. LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers had eight points in his 20th All-Star Game.

The NBA All-Star Game was played in the classic format for the first time since 2017, in which the best players from each conference meet.
