JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The Indonesian men’s and women’s badminton teams left for Malaysia to take part in the 2024 Badminton Asia Team Championship (BATC), Saturday (10/2/2024).
This team tournament for Asian countries will be held at the Setia City Convention Center, Selangor, Malaysia, on 13-18 February 2024.
“This afternoon the Indonesian badminton team left for Malaysia to take part in the BATC men’s and women’s team event,” said Indonesian Badminton Team Manager Rionny Mainaky, quoted from Between.
“All the teams are also healthy and in good condition. They left with great enthusiasm and unity.”
“We ask for support and prayers from the Indonesian people so that we can perform optimally,” he continued.
At the BATC 2024 event, the Indonesian team will be strengthened by 10 men’s players and 10 women’s players, as well as staff ranging from coaches, team managers and support teams.
In the men’s team, for the singles number, Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo, Alwi Farhan, Yohanes Saut Marcellyno, and Alvi Wijaya Chairullah will be fielded.
Meanwhile, in the doubles number, three pairs were represented, namely Bagas Maulana/Muhammad Shohibul Fikri, Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin, and Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan/Rahmat Hidayat.
For today’s departure, Yere/Rahmat have not yet participated and will only follow to neighboring countries after taking part in the championship in Sri Lanka.
