European superpower tried with all its might to pry De Ligt away from Bayern

Paris Saint-Germain seriously tried to bring Matthijs de Ligt to the club last month. L’Équipe wrote this on Thursday, a few hours before the transfer window expired. Les Parisiens were looking for a replacement for the injured Milan Skriniar, who may be sidelined until the end of this season. However, De Ligt has thanked him for the interest.
Although PSG already signed a center defender in January – the talented Lucas Beraldo came from São Paulo for twenty million euros – the club wanted to have several irons in the fire in terms of defense.

That had everything to do with the fact that top target Yoro is only allowed to leave Lille in the summer. However, PSG wanted to act immediately, and therefore ended up with De Ligt.
Both Bayern Munich and the Dutchman himself did not want a transfer. De Ligt wants to go for his chance in Bavaria, despite his reserve role behind Kim Min-jae, provided the South Korean is fit and on site.
Min-jae is currently active in the Asia Cup. As a result, De Ligt has been allowed to kick off again lately for trainer Thomas Tuchel.
The stopper (24) has played a total of fifteen games so far this season, five of which he came as a substitute. According to Sky Deutschland, De Ligt would not be satisfied with that amount of playing time.
He is said to have set his sights on a summer departure from the Allianz Arena. Erik ten Hag, among others, would keep an eye on this development with above-average interest.
De Ligt still has a contract with Bayern that runs until mid-2027. He was acquired from Juventus by der Rekordmeister for 67 million in the summer of 2022. Since his arrival, De Ligt has worn the Bavarian jersey 58 times in an official context. The Leiderdorper was good for four goals and one assist.
