PSG: “So much the better for him if he manages to leave for Real”, believes Laurent Fournier about Kylian Mbappé

Not a week goes by without the world of football expressing itself on the future of Kylian Mbappé, whose contract at PSG ends next June. Guest of the Kop Paris show this Monday on BFM Paris, Laurent Fournier, the former emblematic midfielder (252 matches between 1991 and 1994 and between 1995 and 1998) and coach (from February to December 2005) of PSG, is expressed on the probable departure of Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid at the end of the season. “So much the better for him if he manages to go to Real,” thinks the winner of the European Cup Winners’ Cup with the Parisian club. For PSG, it’s a shame to lose a player of Mbappé’s quality. Afterwards, I find that when you stay in a club for too long, you only see your faults. At the moment, we have the impression that people only see Kylian Mbappé’s faults, that he attracts the game towards him. Honestly, it would be good for PSG and Mbappé if he manages to win this Champions League and can leave peacefully.”

Also questioned about the positioning of the PSG star, the current coach of Chartres (R1) who passed through Strasbourg, Créteil and Red Star prefers to see him evolve “on the left side” rather than in the “axis”, where he has “a lot more percussion”. This Wednesday evening (9 p.m.), PSG faces Real Sociedad at the Parc des Princes in the round of 16 first leg of the Champions League with Kylian Mbappé likely at the forefront of the Parisian attack.
