PSG: after two and a half days of rest, the Parisians resumed training with Nuno Mendes

Two days of well-deserved rest. After a success in the Champions League against Real Sociedad (2-0), last Wednesday, and a victory in Nantes on Saturday evening (0-2), the Parisians, at the top of the L1, have a comfortable cushion of 13 points. Enough to take a little break which allowed Lucas Hernandez to celebrate his 28th birthday at Bristol in the company of Keylor Navas or Kylian Mbappé, who then joined Achraf Hakimi in Barcelona.

Others like Marco Asensio have chosen to join Marrakech. A destination where some of his former partners from Real Madrid were like Vinicius or Eduardo Camavinga. But the sun and mild temperatures are over. This Wednesday, the Parisians returned to the PSG Campus to meet at training around 5 p.m.

Marquinhos indoors

Apart from Senny Mayulu, Ethan Mbappé and Yoram Zagué who left to reinforce the U19s for today’s match against Dunkirk, punctuated by an achievement from the young right-back, Luis Enrique was able to rely on an almost complete group for a classic training session outdoors. Presnel Kimpembe and Milan Skriniar were still absent but the news is good for the Slovak. Victim of a dislocation of the lateral peroneals of the left ankle against Toulouse during the Champions Trophy (3-0, January 3), the ex-Interist player is slightly ahead of the planned recovery times.

For this outdoor session, Nuno Mendes again completed the entire session with the rest of the group. PSG hopes to count on its presence in the group for the round of 16 second leg of the Champions League, on March 5, against Real Sociedad.

For his part, Marquinhos started the session with his partners on the pitch before ending it indoors due to a tendon problem after the Nantes match.
