He appears to be recovered and his arm could help in long relief for the Red Sox. He is 30 years old and has just participated last season with the Chicago Cubs, with whom he had a 4.42 ERA, with 3 wins, 5 losses in 57 complete innings. His speed and good pitch command make him an attractive pitcher for manager Alex Cora.
At 32 years old, Odorizzi is looking for an opportunity to return to the Major Leagues. The right-hander missed the entire 2023 campaign due to shoulder surgery, but he just demonstrated to 12 organizations that he is fully recovered and can help.
