Bantul– Persib Bandung must be satisfied with sharing with Barito Putera in the match week 25 of Liga 1 2023/2024. Competing at the Sultan Agung Stadium, Bantul, Friday 23 February 2024, the two teams drew 1-1.
Persib had opened the scoring first through David da Silva’s goal in the 11th minute. The Brazilian player’s goal was created after receiving a measured pass from Marc Klok.
This advantage lasted until halftime. The victory that was in front of Persib Bandung’s eyes had to be shattered at the last minute. Barito managed to equalize through Yuswanto Aditya’s header in the 90th minute.
Persib coach, Bojan Hodak, assessed that his team had performed well until the 70th minute. The Maung Bandung fleet was able to dominate the game and made many threats to Barito Putera’s goal.

“I think in 70 minutes we played better, controlled the game. We scored one goal and had more chances and if we could have scored the second goal, we could have finished this match,” said Bojan after the match.
However, after Alberto Rodriguez received a red card, Persib’s game immediately changed. Barito immediately put pressure on Persib until he finally scored a goal in the final minute of the match.
“After the red card it changed everything and of course we were under pressure. We also should have reacted better when the goal happened,” he explained.
The Croatian coach also highlighted the leadership of referee Erfan Efendi in the match.
According to him, many of the referee’s decisions were wrong and detrimental to his team, one of which was the red card against Alberto Rodriguez.
Persib had to play with 10 people from the 70th minute. Alberto Rodriguez received a red card after an incident near the Barito penalty box.
In fact, in the replay it was seen that Nick Kuipers committed a foul on Gustavo Tocantins. However, referee Erfan Efendi actually gave Alberto a red card.
“To be honest, I’m sure that after this match we will write down objections about the referee because there were several wrong decisions,” he explained.
