While the medals for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games were revealed on Thursday February 8, Olympic judo champion Romane Dicko, Paralympic 400-meter champion Nantenin Keita and the president of the Games Organizing Committee, Tony Estanguet, are the guests of the 20 Hours.

The teams for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games unveiled the medals that will reward the athletes on Thursday February 8. They will be partly made of puddled iron, used in the construction of the Eiffel Tower. “It was following discussions with the athletes, who really wanted this medal to be unique to France, that we wanted to offer this very beautiful gift”indicates Tony Estanguet, president of the Organizing Committee for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, on the set of the 20 Hours.

Tickets still on sale for the Paralympic Games

Romane Dicko, who was notably Olympic team judo champion at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, is aiming for the gold medal in Paris. Upon seeing the medal, Romane Dicko stated on set that “it makes you want”. “To finally have a medal for this Olympic dream, I think it’s a new starting point”, she adds. Nantenin Keita, the Paralympic 400 meters champion at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games with a long track record, aims to be the flag bearer of the French delegation. “If I am the standard bearer, it will be a nice box to check”she indicates in the 20 Heures.

Thursday morning, 100,000 tickets went on sale for the Olympics. “They already left during the day,” rejoices Tony Estanguet. “There are still a lot of tickets left for the Paralympic Games,” he adds, however. Some 800,000 tickets were sold out of three million. “There are exceptional sites” for these Paralympic Games and there are still places “from 15 euros in all sports”recalls Tony Estanguet. “So don’t hesitate to go to the ticket.paris2024.org platform so that the stadiums are full for the Paralympic Games”he concludes.
