Paolo Guerrero, Rodrigo González, and Contractual Obligations: A Revealing Exchange

Rodrigo González revealed the message that Paolo Guerrero sent him for not supporting his request to leave César Vallejo. | WillaxRodrigo González, host of ‘Amor y Fuego’, revealed in the recent edition of his program that he had a direct dialogue with the renowned soccer player Paolo Guerrero. The reason was a complaint from the athlete towards the presenter due to criticism related to the fulfillment of his contract with the Universidad César Vallejo club.

The presenter of the entertainment space showed on screen the conversation he had with the ‘Predator’ via Instagram. Along these lines, he emphasized the importance of fulfilling commitments once he signed an agreement.

Furthermore, in the conversation, ‘Peluchín’ shared with the forward personal experiences about how his family was also affected by crime in Peru, showing a parallel of concerns, although under different contexts.

The conflict arose after Paolo Guerrero expressed his discontent over some comments made by Rodrigo González, who reminded him of the footballer’s obligation to the César Vallejo team.

With his cell phone in hand and showing it to the cameras, the communicator showed what the footballer wrote to him directly, as proof that the message is the athlete’s own.

“He was not amused by what we thought and wrote to me a little indignant. He sent me a clipping from a media outlet and told me that the (threat) messages are not a game,” said González.

“I can’t believe you’re supporting these criminals getting away with it. I didn’t expect that from you. I don’t know if these messages are normal or if they also send messages to your mother,” added the television host.

However, hours later, Paolo Guerrero made a clarification through his social networks. “As you know, a screen print of a private conversation with a journalist was leaked. I want to avoid any type of misinterpretations. In the next story you can see the full conversation where I make clear evidence of who I was referring to by the term ‘criminals’. And it is expressly to the authors of the extortionate messages to members of my family.”

The forward clarifies what his intention was when using that adjective and made it clear that it was for criminals who were looking to extort money from his mother. “I cannot be responsible for the interpretations of third parties. Without prejudice to this, I apologize to those who may have been affected by these revelations, mainly to the authorities of the UCV club,” he expressed.

González did not remain silent and made it clear that both his mother and father were victims of crime in the country. He recalled the difficult situation that happened in his childhood and how they have managed to overcome the lack of security.

“My mother has received threatening messages for as long as I can remember, because my father worked in what was a red zone: Tarapoto. (…) He even had to escape in the kidnappers’ own truck to get to Lima, and he was going to pick him up from the airport, without shoes. I have several things to tell you about these topics, Paolo,” said the presenter.

On the other hand, despite showing disagreements with the Acuña family, owner of the César Vallejo sports club, Rodrigo González stressed that everyone, regardless of their status or influence, is subject to compliance with their contractual agreements.

“Nor can you, because you are Paolo Guerrero, take advantage of the popular drag so that you (can’t) have evaluated something and signed a contract, and expect that contract to be annulled,” he said.

“We all have a contract that we must fulfill, as I do with Willax. If things change along the way (…) it is something that you should have evaluated before signing your signature,” he added.

‘Peluchín’ concluded his speech by reaffirming the need to investigate the Acuña family, although he recognized the validity of the contract with Paolo Guerrero.

“I have always been in favor of the Acuña family being investigated to the end. They have seemed to me like sellouts and wildcards who move to what suits them, but they have a company and a contract,” González highlighted.

Richard Acuña was willing to resolve Paolo Guerrero’s contract with César Vallejo.

He stressed that, despite not liking him, as a personal position, there is an agreement that must be respected, whether or not he is a public figure. “The contract has to be respected, you Paolo Guerrero or Juan Pérez, I’m sorry if you get angry,” he concluded on February 19 during the live signal of his program.
