The high Ulm ticket prices for away fans are THE issue in the Easycredit Basketball Bundesliga.
The champion demands 35 euros from the opposing supporters. This is clearly too much for many people. Ultimately, the Tübingen supporters stayed away from the arena in protest.

For comparison: If the Ulm fans are guests in Berlin on Sunday, they have to pay significantly less: Alba charges 28.50 euros (reduced 22.50 euros) for the ticket in guest block 219. That’s 6.50 euros cheaper than in Ulm and even cheaper than the reduced ticket (29 euros) in the Ratiopharm Arena. Children up to the age of six pay no entrance fee at Alba.
Oldenburg is significantly cheaper despite the top surcharge
Even in Oldenburg, the away fans are not fleeced. 19.50 euros entry to the seven top games (including Bayern, Alba, Ulm) is a fair price, 17 euros for the normal games even more so. The tickets for Lower Saxony are quite rare: the Baskets are the only Bundesliga team (according to BBL statistics) to have a maximum occupancy of 100 percent this season.

And what is required for the other sports? Basketball and ice hockey share the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Berlin. At the Eisbären, visiting fans pay 23 euros (reduced 18.50 euros). And if you come in larger groups, there’s a big discount: a whopping minus 25 percent for 50 people. Then the ticket only costs 17.25 euros – half the price compared to basketball in Ulm.
Ice hockey for 17 euros
The prices for ice hockey in Frankfurt are also reasonable. Anyone who wants to see the Lions there costs 18.50 euros (standing room).
What’s noticeable: Ice hockey is significantly cheaper than basketball almost everywhere. This is certainly due to the fact that a DEL main round offers more home games (26) and therefore more income opportunities than in the BBL (17). As is well known, playoffs will then be played in both leagues.

But that can’t be the main reason: Even in handball, where the season, like basketball, only has 17 home games, the games are significantly cheaper. The cheapest ticket for Füchse Berlin costs twelve euros (standing room).
Handball: Between 12 and 21 euros
At the Rhein-Neckar Löwen and record champions THW Kiel you can get into the hall for 21 euros, groups of 10 even get a 20 percent discount. The SC Magdeburg is even cheaper: the cheapest ticket here costs 16.10 euros (reduced 11.10 euros).
