Otto Porter Jr. Contemplates Future with Utah Jazz amid Contract Uncertainty

The Utah Jazz seem to have no intention of winning games after the market closes. One of the players who came bounced to Salt Lake City due to Kelly Oubre’s departure to Toronto was Otto Porter Jr., who has asked the franchise to stay away to study their future. The Jazz have granted him this aside and, for now, he already missed yesterday’s game against the Charlotte Hornets. Apparently, he has returned to his home in Canada until he makes a firm decision.

Porter, who is completely healthy to play, has among his options to sign a contract termination with the Jazz before March 1, the deadline to sign free agents and be able to use them for the playoffs. His idea, once he seems to have overcome the physical problems that have only allowed him to play 23 games in his two seasons with the Raptors, is to become a contender for the ring. A context in which it was already important within the 2022 champion Warriors.

The player’s contract ends this June and it is still unknown which teams would be interested in adding him for the veteran’s minimum.
