While taking the road back to the Alpes-Maritimes, a bus of Nice supporters was the victim of stones, during the night from Friday to Saturday, after the OGCN’s trip to Lyon. The Riviera club itself spoke about the incident on A passenger was reportedly injured, while photos showing a smashed windshield are circulating on social networks.

The movement of Aiglons fans had been supervised before the match: the Rhône prefecture had certainly authorized their arrival, but with a capacity of 300 people and a police escort to get to the stadium. Precautionary measures which ultimately were not enough. “The club calls on the authorities to shed light on this incident, the consequences of which could have been dramatic,” adds the OGCN in its press release.
On the pitch too, Nice had a complicated evening. The runners-up in Ligue 1 lost (1-0) on a goal from Oriel Mangala against the run of play, without really being helped by the refereeing. “When you hit so much in a stadium like that and lose with just one shot on target, it’s frustrating,” lamented Gym coach Francesco Farioli.
