Nordic skiing: cdm, Pellegrino second in the sprint in Minneapolis – Other Sports

Federico Pellegrino took second place in the free technique sprint competition held in Minneapolis (USA), a test of the men’s Nordic skiing CDM. It is the 44th podium in the career of the Aosta Valley native who tried until the end to snatch the victory from Johannes Klaebo. The Norwegian champion was unable to catch up, while third place went to his compatriot Harvard Taugboel.

Second already in the qualifying round, right behind Klaebo, Pellegrino reaches the podium for the second time this season, after third place in Davos during the Tour de Ski. In the final he found himself next to Simone Daprà from Trentino, capable of grabbing the final sixth place, his new best result. Elia Barp was excluded from the semi-final by just three hundredths and finished in 14th place.

Swedish double in the women’s sprint with Jonna Sundling winning ahead of Linn Svahn and the Norwegian Kristine Skistad. Caterina Ganz and Nicole Monsorno finished in 16th and 22nd place respectively.
