The NFL announced Friday that the 2024 salary cap will be $255.4 million per team, with an additional $74 million for player bonuses. They include performance bonuses as well as benefits offered to retired players.
The total cost will therefore be a little less than $330 million per team, or nearly $10.5 billion in total.
Still according to the NFL, this unprecedented increase of $30 million per team is explained by the full payment of the amounts requested during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as an extraordinary increase in media revenues for the 2024 season.
