New Sports Streaming Service to Combine Offerings of ESPN, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery

Soon you will be at least tempted to pay for another streaming service, especially if you are a sports fan. Fox Corp., ESPN and Warner Bros. Discovery announced the creation of a sports platform that will combine the offers of the three companies.

The new service will include all content from ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network, ACC Network, ESPNews, ABC, Fox, Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2, Big Ten Network, TNT, TBS, truTV and ESPN+. The platform will also have the broadcasts of the NFL and UFL, as well as the NBA, WNBA, Major League Baseball (MLB), NHL, professional golf, tennis, cycling, soccer, UFC and motor sports.

Disney

“The launch of this new sports streaming service marks a significant moment for ESPN and Disney and represents a victory for sports fans; It is also a step forward for the media business,” Disney CEO Bob Iger said in a statement. “ESPN’s entire channel offering will be available along with programming from other sports industry leaders,” he highlighted.

Although no details were offered about what will happen to current subscribers of ESPN+, Hulu and Max (Disney and Warner Bros. platforms, respectively), Disney specified that they will be able to update their subscription to have access to the new platform.

The platform will debut in the fall of this year in the United States. The name and price of the subscription plans will be announced soon.
