NAC Signs Youth Player Aïmane Jaddi to Contract Extension

Jaddi came on for Patriot Sejdiu with twenty minutes to play in the match against De Graafschap. “My father was there today, as was my uncle and some friends,” he said afterwards in conversation with BN DeStem. “I hope they are proud, I think so.” Afterwards, the attacker already hinted that he hopes that a contract will be ready for him in Breda. It now appears that the club and player have been in discussions for some time, according to the newspaper.

By signing Jaddi, NAC has become the fourth youth player to receive a contract since the arrival of the duo Peter Maas and Pierre van Hooijdonk, according to DeStem. Previously, Aimé Omgba, Mostapha Rached and Daan van Reeuwijk signed a contract. According to BN DeStem, NAC is taking into account that Omgba may leave again this summer.

NAC will exercise the option in Omgba’s contract, which would keep the playmaker in Breda until 2026. After that, he could fetch a transfer fee double that received for Ezekiel Banzuzi. According to the newspaper, he earned 1.2 million euros, an amount that could increase to 1.5 million through bonuses.

UPDATE:

Jaddi has now signed his contract. The wing attacker signs for 1.5 years, with the club still having an option for another year.

“Aïmane is a player with specific qualities as a winger. He is explosive, fast, technically skilled and has a lot of drive forward. Now Aïmane can and must fully focus on his further development,” said technical director Peter Maas.
