Wanda Peralta He has not yet arrived at the Padres camp located in the city of Peoria in the state of Arizona due to a problem with his visa.
Peralta signed a four-year contract with San Diego on Jan. 31 and is expected to be a key senior reliever for the club this season.
Although the San Francisco native of Macorís has not yet been able to join his teammates in camp, it is hoped that this problem will not affect his preparation for the start of the regular season.

Noelvi Marte He’s not yet running at full speed after suffering a hamstring strain in late November in the Dominican League, Charlie Goldsmith of the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

Lopez was designated for assignment by the Blue Jays on Friday, and the Giants opted to acquire him in a trade rather than risk losing a waiver claim.
The 25-year-old utility player has just eight major league games under his belt and struggled offensively at the Triple-A level last season with a .258/.313/.343 line in 84 games.
To the south side
Juan Then signed a Minor League contract with the White Sox on January 24, then was elected a free agent earlier this offseason and will now head to Triple-A Charlotte.
The 23-year-old right-hander appeared in nine games for the Mariners last season, allowing six earned runs in 11 innings while striking out five batters and walking two.
The White Sox don’t have a particularly deep bullpen, so Then could earn more major league appearances for his new club.

Jarlín García was cleared to pitch, but will not be ready for spring training.
Garcia was sidelined for the entire 2023 season, but is already drawing interest now that he’s been given the green light to start pitching.
Adams notes that while Garcia probably won’t be game-ready until May, there are already a few teams that have expressed interest in the left-hander.
If it’s peaceful
Jorge Polanco was traded from the Twins to the Mariners on Monday, ESPN.com’s Jeff Passan reports.
He’s a big upgrade for the Mariners at second base, and the 30-year-old will also be available to fill in at the hot corner and designated hitter spot as needed.
Polanco hit .255/.335/.454 with 14 home runs, 48 RBIs, four stolen bases and 38 runs scored in 80 games a season ago with Minnesota.
