Mixed Results for Périnais Badminton Teams in Interclubs Tournament

The Périnais Badminton teams played their fifth day of Interclubs this Sunday, with nine defeats in twelve matches. Finishing third in its group, the first team has ensured its maintenance in R2, but will therefore not be able to play the climb on the ranking day, in a month. “Only our team 3, in D2, will be able to aim for accession to D1. Our five other teams, including R3, will have to win to maintain their position,” summarizes president Nicolas Villetelle.

The Plerian table tennis player Patrice Rault-Maisonneuve finished third, this Saturday, in Vern-sur-Seiche (35), in the last round of the regional disabled sports criterion, “standing” category. After winning three of his four group matches and his quarter-final, the resident of the Argantel-club was eliminated in the semi-final, in three hotly contested sets. “I then had to play until the end of the night, in five sets, to win my third place,” says the table tennis player.

The female seniors of Plérin FC won their ticket to the quarter-finals of the Coupe de Bretagne this Sunday, by winning on penalties, in front of their supporters, against Lorient FC. Engaged the day before in the round of 16 of this same competition, the U14 boys were knocked out by the Briochin Stadiumwith a score of 6-2.
