Minnesota Timberwolves Close in on Signing Justin Jackson to 10-Day Contract

New secondary signings continue to appear. According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPNMinnesota Timberwolves are closing on the signing of Justin Jackson via a 10-day contract.

Chosen as number 15 in the 2017 draft, the forward’s career in the NBA has never really taken off; so much so that he has only played 64 games in the last three seasons, in which he has played for the Oklahoma City Thunder, Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns.

Returning to the present. Before joining the Wolves Jackson has been playing in the G League with the Texas Legends, a team with which he has averaged 19.9 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 34.6 minutes per night, numbers that give him a new opportunity in the League, even if it is in principle for only 10 days.

Minnesota had been signing 13 players to standard contracts since this season’s Feb. 8 trade deadline and had until Thursday to fill at least one of two vacancies on its roster.
