It was the only movement by the Bucks at the close of the transfer market. Detected the problem they had in their backcourt, Milwaukee had been searching for a player to provide them with defense for some time, something they finally found with the transfer for which they acquired Patrick Beverley. Without seeing the result of such a contract, one of the team’s stars, Damian Lillard, is very happy with the acquisition.
«He brings a new level and defensive tenacity on the perimeter that we need. There aren’t many players who do it every night like him. I look forward to working together. The personal problems we have had in the past are not above the opportunity to win a championship,” he tells Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports.
If the All-Star point guard is satisfied with Beverley, the management of the Milwaukee organization is no less satisfied; so much so that the general manager, Jon Horst, does not hesitate to praise his qualities.
«It offers a starting point for the defense and great versatility on that side of the court. He has proven capable of defending multiple positions throughout his career. He is a high-impact defender. “He plays with a physique and a toughness that we believe will help us,” says the executive.
