Mathieu van der Poel announced his program for the classic spring on Friday afternoon. The road world champion will participate in Milan-Sanremo, the Tour of Flanders, Paris-Roubaix and possibly Liège-Bastogne-Liège, among others.
Van der Poel (29) kicks off his season with a participation in Milan-San Remo (16/03) and wants to continue until Liège-Bastogne-Liège (21/04). His participation in The dean is not yet a certainty.
“Liège-Bastogne-Liège is still a month or two in the future. So it is difficult to definitively confirm his participation now, but the fact that he is insisting on that race indicates that it is the plan,” said Alpecin-Deceuninck manager Philip Roodhooft at HLN.
