Manchester United confirm that Luke Shaw will be absent for a long time. The 28 year old player suffered a muscle injury.
Luke Shaw suffered an injury when MU won 2-1 over Luton Town last weekend. In the match at Kenilworth Road, Shaw only played one half and was replaced by Victor Lindelof.
Regarding Shaw’s injury, MU has made an official statement. They will carry out further examinations to determine the recovery period for the England national team defender.
“Luke Shaw “I have a muscle injury and will be sidelined for a long period of time,” said a MU statement on the club website.
“Further tests are still needed to determine the severity of the injury, but we expect he will be out for several months,” the statement added.
While strengthening MU, Shaw suffered several injuries. In November 2023, he also suffered a muscle injury which forced him to be sidelined for 92 days.
Luke Shaw He has only played 15 times in all competitions for MU this season. He has provided one assist for the Red Devils.
With Luke Shaw injured, MU has fewer options at left fullback. Tyrell Malacia is also injured.
