Mâconnais Archers Find Success at Para-Adapted Archery Championship and Departmental Championship

In Mâcon for adapted archery or in Epinac for the departmental championship, the Mâconnais Archers hit the mark!

Saturday January 27, at the Compagnie des Archers Mâconnais, the 1st Burgundy-Franche-Comté para adapted archery championship took place. They also shot to achieve a score allowing qualification for the French championship in the discipline which will take place at the beginning of April in Mulhouse.

For the archers of the Company, it was a great overall success:

– Michaël Van Den Plas, resident of the Foyer de la Chevannière, BFC champion in the veterans recurve category, achieves a score of 524 points which certainly positions him for qualification

– Joël Bernigal, also resident at the Chevannière home, becomes BFC champion with a score of 373 points qualifying for the French championship

– Daniel Harms, resident of the same household, achieves a score of 379

These 3 resident archers from the Chevannière home from the ARHM foundation are in score levels which should see them all qualified for the French para adapted archery championship.

– Manuel Fernandes achieves a score of 268 points which remains below the qualification level but remains quite honorable after having been obliged to stay on the side following an injury and gives all the hopes for a 2025 season

– Florian Bournet, BFC champion in his category – 50 years old, participant in the activities of the Chanteloup home belonging to the French mutuality, also achieves a score allowing him to consider the trip to Mulhouse,

– Christian Griezmann who participated in his first official competition with the emotion that it represents.
