Sticking to the bench from start to finish of the victorious match against OM (1-0) on Sunday, Rayan Cherki was brought back into the starting team against Lille (2-1) this Wednesday. And the Lyon striker was obviously having a good night, involved in his team’s two goals. He first threw Gift Orban perfectly with a touch of the ball for his team’s opener (40th) before scoring a goal from the left at close range after having inherited the ball in the middle of four Lille players (47th) . Replaced by Ernest Numah shortly after the hour mark, he seemed disappointed to return to the bench but he certainly scored points in this victory.

THE NUMBER: 1

For his third match in the OL jersey, Gift Orban scored his first goal for his new club at the conclusion of a clear collective movement with one touch of the ball. The young attacker (21 years old) finished the action perfectly by shooting his ball past Chevalier (40th). He had already been dangerous in two situations before (8th, 25th) but he lacked technical accuracy in the first with too long control and he came up against the Lille goalkeeper in the second.
