LPGA Thailand A trio in charge, Delacour 30th, Boutier 51st

This Friday took place the second round of the Honda LPGA Thailand in Chonburi. Accompanied by Madeleine Sagstrom and Sei Young Kim, the local of the stage Patty Tavatanakit is at the top of the ranking. For their part, Perrine Delacour and Céline Boutier remain rather discreet.

After a three-week break, the LPGA is back this week in Thailand. However, after 36 holes, the two French women in the running remain behind for the moment in this tournament which is played over four rounds without a cut. The best ranked, Perrine Delacour, is in 30th place (-4 total). This Friday, the 29-year-old player returned a second card in a row of 70 (five birdies, three bogeys).

Her compatriot, Céline Boutier, takes 51st place (-2). If the six-time winner on the American circuit was satisfied with a record in par on Thursday, she also signed a score of 70 (five birdies, three bogeys) during this second round.

Further up, the top of the leaderboard is occupied by a trio composed of Madeleine Sagstrom, Sei Young Kim and the Thai Patty Tavatanakit. On her home turf, the latter shone by recording a superb record of 67. Badly off to a start after conceding a bogey at hole number 1, the Bangkok native, victorious at the Aramco Saudi Ladies International, on the Ladies European Tour, the last week, was able to pull himself together later by gleaning six birdies: “I feel a little more tired after playing well last week. I used a lot of adrenaline. It’s only Friday, it’s very hot and my body needs a lot of rest.”
