Los Cabos Open Holds Draw Ceremony for ATP 250 Tournament

The Los Cabos Open held the draw ceremony where the results of the ATP 250 tournament were announced.

The tournament’s seeds Alexander Zverev (1), Stefanos Tsitsipas (2), Alex de Minaur (3) and Casper Ruud (4) will compete until the second round, received the ‘Bye’.

The Mexicans Ernesto Escobedo and Rodrigo Pacheco entered the main draw thanks to the Wild Card they received from the organization.

Escobedo will face Jordan Thompson in this first round and Pacheco will face Aleksandar Ukic, it is highlighted that if the Yucatecan defeats the Australian, the next duel would be against the Greek and current champion of the tournament Stefanos Tsitsipas.

“We hope everything goes well as it has in recent years,” said José Antonio Fernández, tournament director, after the draw ceremony.

From his perspective, the change of date in the calendar “will benefit having this climate and will help in every way, the biggest beneficiaries are the players.”

Although he stressed that this movement from summer to winter was decided by the ATP, so the next change of date will still remain with said organization, if it so decides.

Fernández also confirmed that Holger Rune withdrew from the Los Cabos Open, although his place has currently been confirmed for the Mexican Tennis Open in Acapulco.
