NBA team changes look: It’s not just the logo that’s new!
New look for the Los Angeles Clippers! The NBA franchise released its new logo on Monday – and wants to appear in other color combinations in the future.
The new emblem features the Clippers’ “C” surrounding the cardinal directions and a ship with basketball stitching on the hull, “a nod to the organization’s maritime roots and a symbol of its direction,” an official statement said.
The jerseys of the NBA stars around James Harden will be available in a “familiar but upgraded color scheme of navy blue, glowing red and Pacific blue” from the 2024/25 season.
“We have embarked on a long journey gathering feedback and insights from across Clipper Nation,” LA Clippers President of Business Operations Gillian Zucker said in a statement.
“We listened to as many voices as possible and then hired specialists to find a timeless design that combines the cornerstones of our past and our future. Our new brands are meaningful and strong, reflecting our roots and our aspirations.”
