Despite a few injuries, Liverpool are back in the Premier League title fight. On Wednesday evening, the “Reds” celebrated a 4-1 home win against Luton Town at Anfield Road and are now four points ahead of defending champions Manchester City and five points ahead of Arsenal with one game more.
Chiedozie Ogbene initially gave the relegation candidates the lead in the twelfth minute. After the break, Liverpool turned the game around. Virgil van Dijk headed the score 1-1 in the 56th minute from a corner from Alexis Mac Allister, and two minutes later his Dutch teammate Cody Gakpo also headed into the goal from a cross from Mac Allister. Luis Diaz and Harvey Elliott extended the home team’s lead in the 71st and 90th minutes.
