Aside from their historic success against Liverpool, Carles Martinez Novel’s men have a more than average record and only have 4 small victories in the league since the start of the season. Opposite, Benfica is fighting tied on points with Sporting at the top of the Portuguese league. With the exception of the cup, the Benfiquists have been undefeated since November 8 and a setback at Real Sociedad (3-1). The challenge is enormous for Toulouse, but like FC Nantes on a European evening in Turin last season, they at least have the right to dream.
