Formula 1 star Lewis Hamilton is moving from Mercedes to Ferrari, driving the Italian car maker’s shares to a record high. The international media is going crazy, talking about the “most gigantic of all shocks”.
The spectacular signing of Formula 1 record world champion Lewis Hamilton has driven Ferrari’s share price to a record high. The shares of the Italian luxury car manufacturer rose to a record high of $389.45 by the close of trading on New York’s Wall Street on Thursday evening, more than twelve percent above Wednesday’s price.
The group’s positive outlook also recently contributed to a sharp increase in its stock market value. Above all, the prospect of Hamilton in the red racing car from 2025 has now reached a high. The seven-time world champion Hamilton is leaving the Mercedes factory team at the end of this season and will drive for Ferrari long-term from next year. The 39-year-old Brit’s teammate will be Monegasque Charles Leclerc.
