Osvaldo Virgil, Geronimo Berroa, Mario Guerrero, Mackey Moreno, Junior Noboa, Jose Nunez, Jose DeLeon and Danilo Rivas are also part of the tradition of melenudos among the natives, in addition to Wilkin Castillo, Neifi Perez, Rufino Linares, Sammy Sosa, Mario Soto, Federico Velazquez, among other greats.

Tito Fuentes, Frank Howard, Cecil Cooper, Willie Kirkland, Gary Mathews, Fred McGriff, Tim Raines, Connor Jackson, Mickey Mahler, Steve Ratzer, Gaylord Perry and Kris Johnson stand out among the reinforcements who have donned the clothing of the Chosen One.

“We celebrate with all the members of the team another year of this great team. The titles won, the number of star players and a loyal and solid fan base elevate the pride of being a Lions member,” said Luis Manuel Bonetti, president of the Chosen Team.

“Our goal as an organization for this year is precisely to continue strengthening this rich history, with hard work to obtain a new championship,” he continued.

In addition to the 17 crowns of the Dominican Republic Professional Baseball League, the capital team has won 4 Caribbean Series.
