La Pedrera Park Celebrates Adapted Sports: Archery, Badminton, and Table Tennis Demonstrations for All Ages

There was a technical talk on archery and then also badminton and table tennis demonstrations for children and adults.

The Equine Therapy property of La Pedrera Park had a day of celebration for adapted sports, with a talk and an archery demonstration for people with disabilities and also in the conventional modality that invited children and adults to enjoy an afternoon of recreation .

It all started with an introductory talk on technical details by Jorge Marinotti, director of the La Pedrera Bow School. Then came the practical demonstration with the participation of Albina Torres, from the national adapted archery team, who surprised with her skill. Adults and children were encouraged to participate and under the instructions of Marinotti and his team they were able to experience an approach to this sport with their first shots on target.

Table tennis was another sport that joined the proposal, with the presence of Thomas Giacometti, coach and bronze medalist in the University Pan American Games, who contributed all his experience. Adapted badminton also had its moment in this afternoon of sports with Sergio Barrera, a prominent athlete from Villa Mercedes, who invited adults and children to participate and enjoy this sport with the presence of Lucrecia Soria, deputy director of DOSEP Villa Mercedes, who He embraced the challenge and shared the game.
