The Californians published on Monday their new logonew jerseys as well a new court designto sharpen one’s own identity after 40 years in Los Angeles. According to Zach Lowe (ESPN), there was also talk of changing the team name, but the Clippers received feedback via fan surveys that this was not what the fan base wanted.

“I listened to everything and was surprised to find that there was no interest in changing the name,” owner Steve Ballmer is quoted in the article. “I had already thought about it when I bought it a few years ago, but the reactions back then were very similar.”

There is still a new logo. This one has a capital C spanning a ship. It’s a tribute to the old boats from San Diego, after which the franchise is still named today. The Clippers will wear white and blue as their jersey colors, and there will also be a red jersey.

Black, on the other hand, will be removed from the range; instead, it is possible that there will be jerseys in baby blue again in the future.
