Justin Fields Takes Social Media Break Amid Trade Rumors With Chicago Bears

Amid trade rumors, quarterback Justin Fields explained why he stopped following the Chicago Bears on social media.

“I was just trying to take a little break,” he said Wednesday, during his appearance on the “St. Brown Bros” podcast.

“I stopped following the Bears and the NFL,” Fields added. I try not to just have football in my life.”

The pivot also said that he was exhausted seeing the comments from fans under his team’s publications. The Bears have the first and ninth picks in the first round of the upcoming draft. Many wonder if the Illinois club will draft quarterback Caleb Williams and trade Fields.

Selected by the Bears in the first round (11th overall) of the 2021 auction, the 24-year-old athlete has been the starter for the Chicago team for the majority of their meetings over the last three seasons.

In 40 games of NFL experience, Fields completed 60.3% of the passes he attempted for 6,674 yards and 40 touchdowns. He also had 2,220 yards and 14 majors with his legs.

If it were up to him, he would continue his association with the Bears.

“Of course I want to stay,” Fields said. I don’t see myself playing anywhere else, but I know how it works in this league.”

“If it were up to me, I would stay in Chicago. I love the city and the fans are great. It’s a business. I have no control.”
