Jonas Vingegaard wins the last stage of the Gran Camino ahead of Lenny Martinez

Never two without three for Jonas Vingegaard. After his two victories on Friday and Saturday, the double winner of the Tour de France won the last stage of the Gran Camino at the top of the Alto de Monte Aloia on Sunday. The race was greatly shortened due to the dire weather conditions (rain, wind, fog).

It was also not broadcast live, retransmission being impossible. The Dane won by attacking 2 kilometers from the finish, according to the official account of the race. Young Groupama-FDJ climber Lenny Martinez crossed the line 15 seconds later, in second position. Far behind, Hugh Carthy (EF Education-EasyPost), Egan Bernal (Ineos) and Jefferson Cepeda (Caja-Rural) finished the stage 45 seconds behind the winner of the day.

The Dane wins the general classification and confirms his great form at the start of the season, with Tirreno-Adriatico as his next objective. Lenny Martinez finished second in the general classification ahead of Egan Bernal.
