Jhonder Cádiz commanded Famalicao’s comeback

Jhonder Cádiz had a packed day in Portugal this Friday. The Venezuelan scored both goals for Famalicao in the 2-1 victory against Rio Ave on matchday 21 of the Primeira Liga.

The Venezuelan reached nine goals in the campaign with his team and only needs two goals to equal his personal record in the first division of Portuguese football.

In the 17th minute, the former Caracas FC received a cross from a counterattack and sent the ball into the back of the net with a header and tied the game at 1-1.

Then at 66′, Cádiz showed off its scoring instinct and made it 2-1 with another header after a deflection by the goalkeeper into the six-yard box.

With this victory, Famalicao returned to the path of victory after three days. In addition, it occupies eighth place in Portuguese football with 26 points.
