The Ensidesa Nautical Club, together with the family of Miguel Ángel Pérez Gutiérrez and the Canoeing Federation of the Principality of Asturias, organized the test, with around 750 paddlers – including all categories, from juniors to veterans -, representing 45 clubs, both from different parts of the Principality of Asturias and those arriving from the autonomous communities of Madrid, Cantabria, the Basque Country, Galicia and Castilla-León. The General Directorate of Sports of the Principality of Asturias and the Corvera City Council also collaborated in the organization of the event.

On the other hand, this past Saturday, the regional Winter Championship was held, over 5,000 meters, in the waters of the Segura River as it passes through Murcia, where the Asturian canoeists Jorge Alonso Justo and Alejandro Heres Araujo, both from the Ensidesa Nautical Club, currently in permanent concentration regime at the CEAR of the Region of Murcia, they won the gold and bronze medal, respectively, in the C-1 junior category. Without a doubt, good feelings for the young Corveran canoeists with a view to the Spanish Winter Championship that will take place in a few dates in the waters of the CEAR of La Cartuja, in Seville.
